SHRS Computer Labs and Kiosks
The School of Health and Rehabilitation maintains two working computer labs that are only open for use by the students of the school. The main computer lab consists of 39 workstations and one instructor station.
6048 Computer Lab
The 6048 Lab contains 39 computer workstations and one instructor computer workstation. The computer and VCR are wired to display through a overhead data projector for class presentations.
The Anthony and Filomena Pascasio Learning Resource Center (LRC)
This multi-purpose lab dedicated in 1996 was founded by Anne Pascasio, PhD, the founding and former Dean of SHRS. Renovated in April 2005, the LRC now includes 9 computer workstations, 2 copiers, 3 scanners, 3 treatment tables, a quiet study area, Student Advisory Board desk, anatomy models, and a VHS viewing area with headphones.
Multi-Media Stations
Two machines are located in the LRC which have have multi-media digitizing capabilities including VHS and camcorder video to DVD, Audio Cassetee Digitization, document scanner, and slide scanner
E-Mail Kiosks
Eight e-mail kiosks are located around the school for student use. These computers have Internet access, mail programs, and chat programs including: Yahoo, AOL, and MSN Messenger.
Wireless Internet Access
Wireless Internet access is available with the SHRS building on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors. This access is restricted to faculty, staff, and students enrolled in SHRS programs. Adaptive Computing Facilities
Wheelchair-accessible workstations are available in both computing labs. Special arrangements can be made on an individual basis for students with physical and/or learning disabilities through the Office of Disability Resources and Services or at the Adaptive Computing Training Lab at 725 William Pitt Union.
